{"id":10393,"date":"2013-10-07T09:51:16","date_gmt":"2013-10-07T13:51:16","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/co2mannatoday.com\/?p=10393"},"modified":"2013-10-07T10:42:27","modified_gmt":"2013-10-07T14:42:27","slug":"the-nature-of-reconciliation-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/co2mannatoday.com\/?p=10393","title":{"rendered":"The Nature of Reconciliation"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<h1>He made Him who knew no sin to be sin for us, that we might become the righteousness of God in Him \u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?version=31&amp;search=2+Corinthians+5%3A21\" target=\"_blank\">2 Corinthians 5:21<\/a><\/h1>\n<p><strong><!-- .entry-meta --> <!-- .entry-header --><\/strong><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/QmY3jSugNBU\" height=\"315\" width=\"560\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<section>Sin is a fundamental relationship\u2014 it is not wrong <em>doing<\/em>, but wrong <em>being<\/em>\u2014 it is deliberate and determined independence from God. The Christian faith bases everything on the extreme, self-confident nature of sin. Other faiths deal with <em>sins<\/em>\u2014 the Bible alone deals with <em>sin<\/em>. The first thing Jesus Christ confronted in people was the heredity of sin, and it is because we have ignored this in our presentation of the gospel that the message of the gospel has lost its sting and its explosive power.The revealed truth of the Bible is not that Jesus Christ took on Himself our fleshly sins, but that He took on Himself the heredity of sin that no man can even touch. God made His own Son \u201cto be sin\u201d that He might make the sinner into a saint. It is revealed throughout the Bible that our Lord took on Himself the sin of the world through <em>identification with us<\/em>, not through <em>sympathy for us<\/em>. He deliberately took on His own shoulders, and endured in His own body, the complete, cumulative sin of the human race. \u201cHe made Him who knew no sin to be <em>sin for us<\/em>. . .\u201d and by so doing He placed salvation for the entire human race solely on the basis of redemption. Jesus Christ reconciled the human race, putting it back to where God designed it to be. And now anyone can experience that reconciliation, being brought into oneness with God, on the basis of what our Lord has done on the cross.A man cannot redeem himself\u2014 redemption is the work of God, and is absolutely finished and complete. And its application to individual people is a matter of their own individual action or response to it. A distinction must always be made between the revealed truth of redemption and the actual conscious experience of salvation in a person\u2019s life.<\/section>\n<section><\/section>\n<section>____________________________________________________________________<br \/>\nOctober 7, 2013<\/section>\n<section><\/section>\n<section>Journal Entry for Today-JDV<\/section>\n<section><\/section>\n<section><\/section>\n<section>Thank You Lord for the reminder that I am not to consider my difficulties, circumstances or\u00a0wrongdoing; I am to consider Jesus. Thank You for showing me that the path to growth is not that I sin less, or act as a \u201cproper Christian\u201d but that I identify and connect with Jesus\u2026.accepting His redemption and my rebirth in all things.<\/section>\n<section>And God says\u2026\u201d<i>I have given you the gift of redemption, simply accept it. \u00a0Focus on Jesus. When you find yourself in circumstances, difficulties and or going down the wrong path, focus on Jesus. He has given you love,\u00a0power, strength,\u00a0abundance, wellbeing and the peace that passes all understanding. Live in it.\u00a0 Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Acknowledge the Lord in all your ways and He will make your paths straight.
