His resurrection means that He has the power to convey His life to me. When I was born again, I received the very life of the risen Lord from Jesus Himself.Christ\u2019s resurrection destiny\u2014 His foreordained purpose\u2014 was to bring \u201cmany sons to glory\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Hebrews+2:10\">Hebrews 2:10<\/a>). The fulfilling of His destiny gives Him the right to make us sons and daughters of God. We never have exactly the same relationship to God that the Son of God has, but we are brought by the Son into the relation of sonship. When our Lord rose from the dead, He rose to an absolutely new life\u2014 a life He had never lived before He was God Incarnate. He rose to a life that had never been before. And what His resurrection means for us is that we are raised to His risen life, not to our old life. One day we will have a body like His glorious body, but we can know here and now the power and effectiveness of His resurrection and can \u201cwalk in newness of life\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Romans+6:4\">Romans 6:4<\/a>). Paul\u2019s determined purpose was to \u201cknow Him <em>and the power of His resurrection<\/em>\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Philippians+3:10\">Philippians 3:10<\/a>).Jesus prayed, \u201c. . . as You have given Him authority over all flesh that He should give eternal life to as many as You have given Him\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=John+17:2\">John 17:2<\/a>). The term <em>Holy Spirit<\/em> is actually another name for the experience of eternal life working in human beings here and now. The Holy Spirit is the deity of God who continues to apply the power of the atonement by the Cross of Christ to our lives. Thank God for the glorious and majestic truth that His Spirit can work the very nature of Jesus into us, if we will only obey Him._______________________________________________________________________<\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">April 8, 2014-JDV<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">Lord, thank you this devotional and song this morning. Once more it\u00a0becomes clear that what you want from me is a relationship of the heart.\u00a0 And just when I think I understand and am connected, I get distracted God; distracted by my work, worries and obstacles. \u00a0Instead of trusting and loving You, I find I often lose myself in the chaos of my circumstances and my day, instead of getting lost in your love and allowing Your Spirit to live through me. Lord I believe Your Spirit is here to live through me, I just do not know how to stay connected all the time. And God, You know I believe, but please help me in my unbelief. \u00a0<\/span><\/span><\/span><span style=\"color: #000000; font-family: Calibri; font-size: medium;\">\u00a0<\/span><\/div>\n<div><\/div>\n<div><span style=\"font-family: Calibri;\"><span style=\"font-size: medium;\"><span style=\"color: #000000;\">And God says<i>\u2026\u201dStart your day and end your day with Me. Get and stay connected as often as you can by being aware of Me living through you. If you seek Me, you will find Me.\u00a0\u00a0I stand at the door of your heart; knock and I shall answer. Reach out to Me and I will always be there for you. It is impossible for you to chase me away, and I make certain that all things work for the good of those that love Me. Acknowledge Me in all your ways and I will make all your paths straight. When you acknowledge Me in your peace, chaos, trials, joy\u2026..your everything\u2026. you know I am with you. Delight yourself in Me and I will give you the desires of your heart. \u00a0Seek first the Kingdom of God, which is Jesus, and everything else you need will be provided. Seek me first, and the pressure, desire, motivation for anything else will be erased and replaced with the peace that passes all understanding; as you rest in knowing that I am God,\u00a0 I love you immeasurably and will not withhold any good thing from you.\u201d<\/i><\/span><\/span><\/span>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/section>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"<p>Ought not the Christ to have suffered these things and to enter into His glory? \u2014Luke 24:26 Our Lord\u2019s Cross is the gateway into His life.
