If the Son of God has been born into my human flesh, then am I allowing His holy innocence, simplicity, and oneness with the Father the opportunity to exhibit itself in me? What was true of the Virgin Mary in the history of the Son of God\u2019s birth on earth is true of every saint. God\u2019s Son is born into me through the direct act of God; then I as His child must exercise the right of a child\u2014 the right of always being face to face with my Father through prayer. Do I find myself continually saying in amazement to the commonsense part of my life, \u201cWhy did you want me to turn here or to go over there? \u2019Did you not know that I must be about My Father\u2019s business?\u2019 \u201d (Luke 2:49<\/a>). Whatever our circumstances may be, that holy, innocent, and eternal Child must be in contact with His Father.<\/p>\n

Am I simple enough to identify myself with my Lord in this way? Is He having His wonderful way with me? Is God\u2019s will being fulfilled in that His Son has been formed in me (see Galatians 4:19<\/a>), or have I carefully pushed Him to one side? Oh, the noisy outcry of today! Why does everyone seem to be crying out so loudly? People today are crying out for the Son of God to be put to death. There is no room here for God\u2019s Son right now\u2014 no room for quiet, holy fellowship and oneness with the Father.<\/p>\n

Is the Son of God praying in me, bringing honor to the Father, or am I dictating my demands to Him? Is He ministering in me as He did in the time of His manhood here on earth? Is God\u2019s Son in me going through His passion, suffering so that His own purposes might be fulfilled? The more a person knows of the inner life of God\u2019s most mature saints, the more he sees what God\u2019s purpose really is: to \u201c. . . fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ . . .\u201d (Colossians 1:24<\/a>). And when we think of what it takes to \u201cfill up,\u201d there is always something yet to be done.<\/p>\n

Chambers asks \u201cAm I allowing Jesus to have His wonderful way with me?\u201d The song says \u201cHis grace found me\u201d. And that is the long and short of it, God. You made me, found me, and gave me the \u00a0faith and grace I need. \u00a0I am becoming more like Jesus only because of Jesus; when I allow Him to live through me. Thank you for Your transforming love, power and grace.<\/p>\n

And God says\u2026\u201dMany believe you need to study, memorize scripture, and abstain from certain foods, drink and behavior in order to be approved by Me and My church. And while certain kinds of behaviors are more appealing than others, you can come to me every day, every minute, every hour, just as you are. \u00a0You cannot add one whit of value to how and why I love you. I am not more accepting and caring because you now follow the \u201cstraight and narrow\u201d. I love you and accept you for the same reason that you love me; Jesus. Let the grace of Jesus find you. Let the Holy Spirit transform you. And let the peace the passes understanding guide your day.\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
