{"id":7336,"date":"2012-08-08T06:20:52","date_gmt":"2012-08-08T14:20:52","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/co2mannatoday.com\/wordpress\/?p=7336"},"modified":"2012-08-08T06:39:09","modified_gmt":"2012-08-08T14:39:09","slug":"prayer-in-the-father%e2%80%99s-honor-2","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"http:\/\/co2mannatoday.com\/?p=7336","title":{"rendered":"Prayer in the Father\u2019s Honor"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>. . . that Holy One who is to be born will be called the Son of God \u2014Luke 1:35<\/h1>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<section><iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"http:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nFC76Z_2oC4\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"560\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><br \/>\nIf the Son of God has been born into my human flesh, then am I allowing His holy innocence, simplicity, and oneness with the Father the opportunity to exhibit itself in me? What was true of the Virgin Mary in the history of the Son of God\u2019s birth on earth is true of every saint. God\u2019s Son is born into me through the direct act of God; then I as His child must exercise the right of a child\u2014 the right of always being face to face with my Father through prayer. Do I find myself continually saying in amazement to the commonsense part of my life, \u201cWhy did you want me to turn here or to go over there? \u2019Did you not know that I must be about My Father\u2019s business?\u2019 \u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+2:49\">Luke 2:49<\/a>). Whatever our circumstances may be, that holy, innocent, and eternal Child must be in contact with His Father.<\/section>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Am I simple enough to identify myself with my Lord in this way? Is He having His wonderful way with me? Is God\u2019s will being fulfilled in that His Son has been formed in me (see <a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Galatians+4:19\">Galatians 4:19<\/a>), or have I carefully pushed Him to one side? Oh, the noisy outcry of today! Why does everyone seem to be crying out so loudly? People today are crying out for the Son of God to be put to death. There is no room here for God\u2019s Son right now\u2014 no room for quiet, holy fellowship and oneness with the Father.<\/p>\n<p>Is the Son of God praying in me, bringing honor to the Father, or am I dictating my demands to Him? Is He ministering in me as He did in the time of His manhood here on earth? Is God\u2019s Son in me going through His passion, suffering so that His own purposes might be fulfilled? The more a person knows of the inner life of God\u2019s most mature saints, the more he sees what God\u2019s purpose really is: to \u201c. . . fill up in my flesh what is lacking in the afflictions of Christ . . .\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Colossians+1:24\">Colossians 1:24<\/a>). And when we think of what it takes to \u201cfill up,\u201d there is always something yet to be done.<\/p>\n<p>____________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>August 8, 2012<\/p>\n<p>Journal Entry for Today-JDV<\/p>\n<p>It seems to me that all my hopes, dreams, shame and regret are rolled up into the one phrase of the song; I am redeemed. I have the hope, peace and faith to know that I am set free by Jesus. I am not who used to be. I do not have to be fearful or even anxious about what is going to happen when I trust Jesus. Lord, help me to live in this trusting way, all the while telling myself and the enemy; I am redeemed.<\/p>\n<p><em>And God says\u2026\u201dIt is a very simple and peaceful way to live\u2026\u201din Jesus\u201d. Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and He will make your paths straight. Delight yourself in the Lord and He will give you the desires of your heart. Focus on Jesus, and trust in\u00a0 His redeeming blood.
