Send me\u2019 \u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?version=31&amp;search=Isaiah+6%3A8\" target=\"_blank\">Isaiah 6:8<\/a><\/h1>\n<p><!-- .entry-meta --><!-- .entry-header --><br \/>\n<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/nNC4MuN4BpU\" frameborder=\"0\" width=\"620\" height=\"315\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<section>God did not direct His call to Isaiah\u2014 Isaiah overheard God saying, \u201c. . . who will go for Us?\u201d The call of God is not just for a select few but for everyone. Whether I hear God\u2019s call or not depends on the condition of my ears, and exactly what I hear depends upon my spiritual attitude. \u201cMany are called, but few are chosen\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+22:14\">Matthew 22:14<\/a>). That is, few prove that they are the chosen ones. The chosen ones are those who have come into a relationship with God through Jesus Christ and have had their spiritual condition changed and their ears opened. Then they hear \u201cthe voice of the Lord\u201d continually asking, \u201c. . . who will go for Us?\u201d However, God doesn\u2019t single out someone and say, \u201cNow, <em>you<\/em> go.\u201d He did not force His will on Isaiah. Isaiah was in the presence of God, and he overheard the call. His response, performed in complete freedom, could only be to say, \u201cHere am I! Send me.\u201d<\/section>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p>Remove the thought from your mind of expecting God to come to force you or to plead with you. When our Lord called His disciples, He did it without irresistible pressure from the outside. The quiet, yet passionate, insistence of His \u201cFollow Me\u201d was spoken to men whose every sense was receptive (Matthew 4:19). If we will allow the Holy Spirit to bring us face to face with God, we too will hear what Isaiah heard-\u201dthe voice of the Lord.\u201d In perfect freedom we too will say, \u201cHere am I! Send me.\u201d<\/p>\n<p>_______________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>January 14, 2013<\/p>\n<p>Lord, help me be a man after Your own heart\u2026help me to not only say &#8220;here I am, send me&#8221;, help me to desire this more than anything else. I am a man of\u00a0 dust and desires, desperately in need of your grace, love and forgiveness.<\/p>\n<p><em>And God says\u2026\u201dSet your eyes on Jesus, seek Him first and your heart and mind will be refreshed, renewed and transformed daily. \u00a0You are not capable but\u00a0Jesus is capable of doing all things through you and with you as you stay connected.
