{"id":9961,"date":"2013-05-31T10:00:27","date_gmt":"2013-05-31T14:00:27","guid":{"rendered":"http:\/\/co2mannatoday.com\/?p=9961"},"modified":"2013-05-31T10:28:07","modified_gmt":"2013-05-31T14:28:07","slug":"put-god-first-3","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/co2mannatoday.com\/?p=9961","title":{"rendered":"Put God First"},"content":{"rendered":"<h1>Jesus did not commit Himself to them . . .for He knew what was in man \u2014<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?version=31&amp;search=John+2%3A24-25\" target=\"_blank\">John 2:24-25<\/a><\/h1>\n<p><!-- .entry-meta --><!-- .entry-header -->\u00a0<iframe loading=\"lazy\" src=\"https:\/\/www.youtube.com\/embed\/qrOotpSKOX0\" height=\"315\" width=\"620\" allowfullscreen=\"\" frameborder=\"0\"><\/iframe><\/p>\n<section><strong>Put Trust in God First.<\/strong> Our Lord never put His trust in any person. Yet He was never suspicious, never bitter, and never lost hope for anyone, because He put His trust in God first. He trusted absolutely in what God\u2019s grace could do for others. If I put my trust in human beings first, the end result will be my despair and hopelessness toward everyone. I will become bitter because I have insisted that people be what no person can ever be\u2014 absolutely perfect and right. Never trust anything in yourself or in anyone else, except the grace of God.<\/section>\n<p><strong>Put God\u2019s Will First.<\/strong> \u201cBehold, I have come to do Your will, O God\u201d (Hebrews 10:9).<\/p>\n<p>A person\u2019s obedience is to what he sees to be a need\u2014 our Lord\u2019s obedience was to the will of His Father. The rallying cry today is, \u201cWe must get to work! The heathen are dying without God. We must go and tell them about Him.\u201d But we must first make sure that God\u2019s \u201cneeds\u201d and His will in us personally are being met. Jesus said, \u201c. . . tarry . . . until you are endued with power from on high\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Luke+24:49\">Luke 24:49<\/a>). The purpose of our Christian training is to get us into the right relationship to the \u201cneeds\u201d of God and His will. Once God\u2019s \u201cneeds\u201d in us have been met, He will open the way for us to accomplish His will, meeting His \u201cneeds\u201d elsewhere.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Put God\u2019s Son First.<\/strong> \u201cWhoever receives one little child like this in My name receives Me\u201d (<a href=\"http:\/\/www.biblegateway.com\/passage\/?search=Matthew+18:5\">Matthew 18:5<\/a>).<\/p>\n<p>God came as a baby, giving and entrusting Himself to me. He expects my personal life to be a \u201cBethlehem.\u201d Am I allowing my natural life to be slowly transformed by the indwelling life of the Son of God? God\u2019s ultimate purpose is that His Son might be exhibited in me.<\/p>\n<p>_______________________________________________________________<\/p>\n<p>May 31, 2013<\/p>\n<p>Lord, thank you once again for the reminder and reassurance. The reminder that You have answered all my questions and uncertainties. And if I will only trust You instead of myself, and other imperfect people just like me,\u00a0 I can live a life of hope, truth and fullness. Help me trust You completely this day. And Lord, You know my weaknesses. You know how I can go off chasing my own ideas of what I want and need. Help me to surrender my will and myself to You and let You lead.<\/p>\n<p>And God says<i>\u2026\u201dRemember\u00a0 when I look at you My child, I can only see Jesus. I can only see your perfection. I knew your strengths and weaknesses before I even breathed life into you. Why do you think my plan for our reconciliation is wrapped in love, trust, faith and grace? Did you think I would leave our reconciliation to humans to complete? Do you think I did not know of your ongoing imperfection? However; your perfection is complete in Jesus. \u00a0I trust Jesus to live through you; you do the same this day.
